Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to creating an inclusive digital experience for all users

Our Commitment to Accessibility

At Mental Alchemy IO, we believe in the power of technology to transform businesses and lives. We are committed to ensuring our digital presence is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to provide an experience that works for all people, whatever their abilities, circumstances, or needs.

This accessibility statement outlines our goals for digital accessibility. We're in the early stages of implementing comprehensive accessibility features across our website. We recognize that our site currently does not meet all accessibility standards, and we are actively working to address these gaps.

Current Status: Under Improvement

Our website is currently undergoing accessibility improvements. While we have implemented some basic accessibility features, we acknowledge that there are still areas that need enhancement to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. We appreciate your patience as we work to make our digital content more accessible to all users.

Accessibility Standards We're Working Toward

We are working toward conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We've chosen Level AA as our target because it strikes a reasonable balance between the needs of users with disabilities and what can be reasonably achieved with our resources.

Our accessibility roadmap is focused on these key WCAG principles:

  • Perceivable: Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.
  • Operable: User interface components and navigation must be operable by all users.
  • Understandable: Information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable.
  • Robust: Content must be robust enough to be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.

Planned Accessibility Improvements

We have identified several areas for improvement and have developed a phased approach to enhance our website's accessibility:

  • Phase 1 (In Progress): Establishing baseline accessibility structure and conducting an initial audit
  • Phase 2 (Upcoming): Implementing critical fixes for keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, and color contrast
  • Phase 3 (Future): Comprehensive overhaul of interactive elements, forms, and media content
  • Phase 4 (Future): External accessibility audit and WCAG 2.1 AA compliance verification

Accessibility Features In Development

While we are still working on implementing comprehensive accessibility features, here are the key areas we are focusing on:

Semantic Structure

We are improving our HTML structure to use proper semantic elements, providing clearer navigation for screen readers and assistive technologies.

In Progress

Keyboard Navigation

We plan to enhance keyboard navigation throughout the site, adding clear focus indicators and ensuring all interactive elements are accessible without a mouse.

Planned

Text Alternatives

We are currently auditing our image content to add meaningful alt text for all images and decorative elements throughout the website.

In Progress

Color and Contrast

We are conducting a comprehensive color audit to ensure all text elements have sufficient contrast for users with low vision or color blindness.

Planned

Responsive Design

Our website has been built with a responsive framework that adapts to different screen sizes and devices, making content accessible across various platforms.

Implemented

Clear Language

We are reviewing our content to ensure we use clear, simple language that is understandable for all users, including those with cognitive disabilities.

In Progress

Current Limitations

We want to be transparent about some current limitations of our website that may affect accessibility:

  • Some of our forms may not yet have proper error handling or screen reader notifications
  • Not all interactive elements have complete keyboard support
  • Some content may not meet minimum contrast requirements
  • We are still working to ensure all images have appropriate alternative text
  • Complex interactive elements may not yet be fully accessible to assistive technologies

We are actively working to address these issues in our upcoming accessibility improvements.
